Overview
The peak of the Mentok Kangri Expedition is located in the Rupush Valley of Ladakh in the Changthang Plateau. The Changthang Plateau is a 1600 km long Tibetan plateau that stretches southeast of Ladakh. The Mentok mountain range consists of three peaks with elevations of 6200m, 6150m and 6250m on the shores of Lake Tso Moriri. The trek to base camp begins at Korzok village on the lakeshore. All three peaks can be climbed from the same base camp, making for a great trio of easily accessible destinations.
