Overview
Kolahoi Glacier Trek is a crossover trek from Sind Valley into the Lidder Valley passing Basmati Pass (4300m). The trek passes through high altitude alpine lakes situated at the foothills of Mount Kolahoi (5425m), the highest mountain peak of the Vale of Kashmir. It crosses streams and plenty of colorful meadows.
Itinerary
Day 1 :
Transfer to a houseboat at Dal Lake and pickup
Day 2 :
Consists of a two-hour drive, followed by a 7-hour trek with no breaks
Day 3 :
We begin ascending Basmati Pass (4300m), the highest point of our trek, and then we descend to the Lake bearing the same name where we will spend the night
Day 4 :
We hike through meadows and investigate the Kolahoi Glacier on day four
Day 5 :
We hike to Lidderwat beneath Kolahoi Peak’s imposing heights (5425m)
Day 6 :
Go Back to the Base Houseboat and Leave for the Pick Up Point.
Day 7 :
Go Back to the Base Houseboat and Leave for the Pick Up Point.
