Itinerary
When you arrive in Delhi, a representative from our company will be there to greet you and drive you to the hotel that you have reserved. Register at the hotel. After the remainder of the day is free for leisure, spend the night at your hotel.
Enjoy a thrilling cycle rickshaw trip to the Jama Masjid today in the afternoon through the busy Chandni Chowk and its side streets, which served as Shah Jehanabad’s commercial hub during the Mughal era. We will then proceed to the Raj Ghat, the location of Mahatma Gandhi’s cremation, before returning to the hotel. a night spent at the Delhi
After breakfast, we will tour several of the Delhi Gurdwaras, such as the Gurdwara Bangla Sahib close to Connaught Place and the Gurdwara Sis Ganj Sahib in the Chandni Chowk market area, which was created to remember the martyrdom of Guru Teg Bahadur. Spend some time visiting the market, maybe in preparation for your afternoon of shopping.
The Qutub Minar, the oldest Muslim edifice in India, and the adjoining Baha’i Lotus Temple, Delhi’s most avant-garde modern building, will be the destinations of our evening tour. Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, and Islam all share the Lotus emblem, and the building is constructed entirely of pure white marble. There are nine water ponds surrounding the flowering petals that glow in the natural light.
Return to the hotel later to spend the night.
We will transport you to New Delhi Railway Station in the morning so you can join the Shatabdi Express train to Lucknow. Leaving Delhi at 06:15, the train arrives in Lucknow at 13:30. When you arrive in Lucknow, find our representative to help you check into the hotel. Later in the afternoon, go for a leisurely stroll through Lucknow’s ancient market. a night spent at the Lucknow hotel.
After breakfast, we will go to La Martiniere, Dilkusha Gardens, and the Residency complex, which was the scene of the infamous siege of 1857. We will explore Lucknow’s vibrant bazaars and the Awadh Nawabs’ monuments, like the Imambaras and Romi Darwaja, later in the day. Return to the motel to spend the night.
We shall travel to Sravasti this morning in the early hours (approximately 5 hrs driving time). Register at the hotel. We will travel to Sravasti later in the afternoon, where Lord Buddha spent the majority of his monastic life and gave sermons after attaining enlightenment. We’ll also go to Jetavan, where Lord Buddha performed some miracles, and the Ananda Bodhi tree, where he meditated for a night. a night spent at the Sravasti hotel.
We’re going to drive to Lumbini in the morning (approximately 5 hrs driving time). Register at the hotel. After a free afternoon of leisure, spend the night in a hotel in Lumbini.
We will travel to Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha, after breakfast in the morning. We’ll also go to Lumbini Park, the site of the Buddha’s birth, according to the inscription on the Ashok Pillar. Then, we’ll go to the Mayadevi temple, which is dedicated to the Buddha’s mother and contains a stone carving depicting the Buddha’s birth. We will afterwards drive to the China Temple, a stunning pagoda-style building with numerous prayer and meditation cells. a night spent at the Lumbini hotel.
We shall travel to Kushinagar after breakfast in the morning (approximately 4 hrs driving time). Register at the Kushinagar hotel. Leave by private vehicle in the afternoon to tour Kushinagar, one of the most important Buddhist pilgrimage sites, where Lord Buddha obtained Parinirvana, or ultimate Nirvana. Visit contemporary temples and old stupas that honor the Buddha’s demise and cremation. Visit the magnificent statue of the reclining Buddha. Enjoy a night’s stay at the Kushinagar hotel.
We shall travel to Patna in the morning after breakfast. We will stop in Vaishali (about a 7-hour drive away), the location of Lord Buddha’s final discourse, while on the way. The Buddha stupas 1 and 11 (14th century B.C.) were discovered during the Vaishali excavations. They were constructed of brick and contained an urn carrying some of the Buddha’s ashes. We’ll also go to Ashok Pillar, which was built by Emperor Ashok to mark the location of the final sermon. When you get to Patna, check into the hotel to spend the night.
We’ll drive to Bodhgaya in the morning after breakfast. We will stop at Nalanda (about 90 kilometers away), which was established in the fifth century B.C. We’ll also go to an archaeological museum, which holds the seal of Nalanda University as well as other artifacts and ruins that were discovered there. Drive 20 kilometers to Rajgir later. We’ll also go to Griddhkuta, often known as the “Hill of Vultures,” where Buddha gave some of his most well-known teachings. After that, we’ll go to Saptaparni Caves, the source of Rajgir’s hot springs and the site of the first Buddha Council.
After traveling about 120 kilometers to Bodhgaya, check in at the guest home that has been reserved for the night.
After breakfast, we will visit the Mahabodhi Temple, which features a huge golden Buddha inside the sanctum sanctorum, tall stone lotuses, statues of Buddha seated in various positions on the walls, his footprints on the stones, and more. The Bodhi Tree, which is located on the temple grounds, is the one beneath which Buddha attained enlightenment. You can also sit and practice meditation beneath the Bodhi Tree. Return to the hotel later to spend the night.
We will transport you to the train station for your morning train to Varanasi after an early breakfast. At 07:05, the train departs Bodhgaya and arrives in Varanasi at 11:15. Meet our agent when you arrive in Varanasi, and they will take you to the hotel you had already reserved. Visit Assumed That on the banks of the Ganges to witness the evening Aarti. Enjoy a night’s stay at the Varanasi hotel.
We’ll head out this morning for a boat excursion on the Ganges River. Glide silently down the Holy River Ganges as the dawn mists form to observe the pious as they arrive to wash and worship. We will go to Sarnath in the early afternoon to visit the Stupas, historic and contemporary temples, and Ashoka’s Pillar, the site of the Lord Buddha’s first lecture. After attaining enlightenment under the revered bodhi tree, Lord Buddha traveled to Sarnath.
The early hours are available for leisure, relaxation, and repose. We will transport you to the airport later in the morning so you can catch your flight to Delhi. Meet our agent when you arrive in Delhi, and they will take you to the hotel you had already reserved for the night.
We will take you to the international airport in the morning to catch your flight back home.
