Haridwar, one of the most sacred Hindu pilgrimage sites in India, is located in the Haridwar district of Uttarakhand, at the foothills of the Shivaliks. It is a place where people go to pray for the salvation of their deceased elders or close relatives by taking a dip in the holy Ganga river. According to Hindu legend, Bhagirath, a Suryavanshi prince, performed penance here to save his ancestors’ souls, which had decomposed due to the annoyance of sage Kapila. To resurrect King Sagara’s sixty thousand sons, Lord Shiva released a torrent of Ganga river water from his locks. Haridwar is the gateway to the Ganga and Yamuna rivers’ sources.

After breakfast, we will check out of the Haridwar hotel and drive to Pipalkoti via Rishikesh Devprayag, Rudrapryag, and Karanprayag. When we arrive in Pipalkoti later in the evening, we will check into the previously reserved hotel and enjoy a relaxing overnight stay.
