Overview
The Friendship Peak Expedition is a popular climb for climbers with rudimentary climbing skills. The peak is located on the front wall of the main Manali/Beath Valley and is clearly visible from the city of Manali. The approach to the mountain begins with the drive from Manali to Dundi, passing through the popular summer tourist destination of Solannara. Start trekking along the Beas River to the Meadows of Bakarsak, passing by Beas Kund. This is the sacred pool where Hindus believe that Rishi Vias, who wrote the Mahabharata, bathed daily. Head to the plains of Lady Leg and set up Camp 1 there.
